The main difference is that Statistical Analysis is only available for cameras with Advanced analytics while Basic Analytics will provide only information on the type of object detected, location, size of the object, and color attributes.
In Advanced Analytics, besides object detection and classification of the objects, the system will calculate additional statistical data like People counting and heatmaps.
In Advanced Analytics, the system receives the event information from the camera and then starts to analyze the video feed frame by frame. The analysis is done on the whole duration of the event.
If the camera's motion detection configuration is available over ONVIF then only objects that intersect the area motion detection mask by at least 25% will be reported as moving objects. For cameras that do not support the configuration of the motion detection mask over ONVIF, any moving object in the scene will be reported as a moving object.
In Basic Analytics there is no statistical data available, this means that there will not be any people counting feature nor the availability of heatmaps.
When an event is detected by the camera and the information is sent to the system, our system will start the analysis of the video feed frame by frame only for the first 10 seconds plus 2 seconds preceding the event start and if there is no object detected during these 12 seconds then our system won't recognize any object that entered the scene more than 10 seconds after event start. Thus, this kind of analytics is not recommended for the cameras having a high false-positive rate as it will increase the probability of event starting well before the object enters the scene and thus the object can be missed simply because the object entered the scene more than 10 seconds after the event has started.
Basic Analytics will include information about object size, the colour of the object, or the position in the scene.
