Testing a Camera

Testing a Camera

How to test your camera's signals through our Bounty Hunter software.

When adding a new camera into Bounty Hunter, you will always want to test the camera so that you can ensure it is properly entered in, analytics are set up and it is receiving signals for the guards to receive events.

To do this, you will want to put your site onto a TEST status.

Navigate to the ACCOUNT tab and find your site from inside your client.

Under the DETAILS tab, click on the pencil icon to edit:

Click on the drop down menu where it says DISARMED, and choose TESTING:

You will want to change the MONITORING STATUS to TESTING. This will automatically set  your system to be on TEST for 1 hour.
Once you have done this, click SAVE to save these changes.

Ready to go!!

Let's start testing!
From here, you will want to go to the VIDEO tab on the left hand side of Bounty Hunter.

From the VIDEO tab, sign into your Camera Glue portal with your credentials that will be able to view the cameras that you want to test.

You will want to filter for people and cars before arming your system by toggling the plus sign on your empty windows to the people or car icons. This is important as it ensure that the analytics set up on the cameras are configured properly to receive notifications:

ARM your system in the top right hand corner using the shield icon. Once it turns red it has armed.
Events will begin populating inside the interface from motion crossing these camera views and you can hit ok to each event coming up. This will allow the interface to check the signal on that camera.

Once your cameras have sent in a signal, you can check the tested cameras back in your ACCOUNT TAB and from there the CAMERA tab under your Site.

If your signal went through successfully, you will see a green checkmark under the TEST EVENT tab above your camera.
