Connecting NVRs using a 3dEYE gateway is a convenient way to connect NVRs with the 3dEYE platform.
Our system allows users to add their NVRs/DVRs using the ONVIF method as well as through the Local Security Gateway. The user needs to ensure the ONVIF is enabled on the DVR/NVR and if needed the ONVIF user is created on the DVR/NVR.
After adding an ONVIF user, the customer needs to register the DVRs/NVRs in the Gateway using HTTP and RTSP ports of DVR/NVR. If your DVR/NVR has multiple cameras connected to it, then add the DVR/NVR multiple times using the Add Camera button on Gateway. Use the same local address and ports for every copy of the NVR that you add to the Gateway. This will generate unique registration codes for you to use in the Admin portal.
After generating the registration code from the gateway, add all Registration codes into the Admin portal using the P&P option in the Camera Menu, use the ONVIF user credentials of your NVR/DVR when adding the cameras.
After adding the multiple copies of NVR/DVR into the system, choose an appropriate streaming channel for every copy of the NVR/DVR to specify which camera you want to use.
After Camera addition into the system if there is no video then please ensure the video encoding is set to H.264 rather than H.265 as the Local Security platform only supports H.264 encoder. Some DVRs do not support the Change Video Encoding Profile over the ONVIF method and because of this the customer needs to change the Encoder to H.264 manually from NVR/DVR WebUI for each camera on NVR/DVR.
