Get Started with Local Security

Get Started with Local Security

Welcome to Local Security!

This guide will show you step-by-step how to:

  1. Access the Local Security Platform
  2. Start training in the Academy
  3. Download mobile apps to your phone and tablet
  4. Submit & manage support tickets
  5. Request live training & kickoff your pilot customer
  6. Submit an 🏗️App Factory request for a branded mobile app
✅ When you have finished all these important steps, you will be a Virtual Guard Service pro and ready to onboard customers.

🔑 Access the Local Security Platform

All Local Security web app products can be accessed from app.mira.bot.

After a successful login, you will be directed to our flagship product MiraOS.

You should bookmark app.localsecurity.org for easy access.

MiraOS ties all of our connected apps together and houses tools for:

  1. Integrators
    1. Stats Dashboards
    2. Account Manager
    3. Customer Subscriptions
    4. Accounting
    5. Camera Glue Admin
    6. Learning Academy
    7. Knowledge Base
    8. Support Tickets

  2. Monitoring Centers
    1. Rapid Threat Assessment Center (Rapid TAC)
    2. Incident Management
    3. Emergency Dispatch
    4. Partner Management
    5. Lending & Merchant Services
    6. Reporting
    7. Live Chat

Using Local Security Single Sign On (SSO) means you can access all this great technology with a single username and password. Integrated profile switching lets you move between accounts without juggling credentials.

The navigation on the left gives you quick access to the tools we mentioned above; notably, you can access Camera Glue portals for Admin and Operator (video) control.

Camera Glue is our cloud-based Video Management System (VMS) natively integrated with MiraOS. You can use SSO to sign in to Camera Glue.

For enhanced security, users with admin access to Camera Glue cannot log in to the customer video portal using their admin credentials. A separate user on the customer account is required to access stored video.
Never access customer data without express authorization from the customer!

Local Security web apps take advantage of the latest available web technology and work best using Chrome.

Using any web browser other than Chrome may result in a loss of functionality.

🚌 Start Training in the Academy

Once you have successfully logged in, your first stop is the Learning Academy. To access the Academy, locate the help icon  in the top right of the navigation bar, and look for the link.

A new browser window will open, and you will automatically sign in to the Academy. If this is your first time, you may be asked to agree to our Terms & Conditions and update your time settings.

Your partnership success manager has already enrolled you into a customized learning path. Contact your partnership success manager if you do not see a learning path when you first log in.

A learning path is a collection of courses curated for your engagement type and organized in a logical sequence to maximize your training.

Complete your assignments as soon as possible. Most learning paths can be completed in in a few hours. Completion of the assigned learning path unlocks:

  • Live training for advanced learning
  • Discounts and promotions
  • Approval to set up your first Virtual Guard Service customer
Before you start training, make sure you have ordered training equipment from the Local Security Store.

All mobile apps can be downloaded any time from the iOS and Android app stores.
We will focus the Local Security app for integrators and customers to get started.

📱 App Download: Local Security

The Local Security customer app allows users to control their video monitoring system, follow up on incidents, view their billing history, view their contact details, and more!
The app also has a back end for integrators that will guide you through creating customers, creating sites, adding cameras, establishing emergency contacts, uploading site maps, setting dispatch procedures, creating subscriptions, testing signals, adding arming rules, and more!
