Escalating an Incident to Guard Services (Direct and using RSPNDR)

Escalating an Incident to Guard Services (Direct and using RSPNDR)

Once inside the incident itself, you will want to first follow the procedure for assigning the incident and following all the action items for the escalated event as mapped out.

If you need to escalate the new incident to a guard service for your client, you will navigate to the top right corner and click on the GUARD button.

Inside the Button you will see 1 of 2 tabs or the site may be configured with both options:

Let's start with DIRECT:

This Direct tab, indicates that the site has a specific Guard Service that they use for their site.

The phone number is actionable so all you need to do is click on it to bring up the softphone and dial out. Ensure you are using the scripts provided to you by your supervisor when reaching the guard services:

If you are unable to reach the Direct Guards or you do not have the Direct tab available to you, you will want to Dispatch a Guard service using our integration with RSPNDR (Shared Tab).

Hitting the Shared tab will open a window displaying the:

1. SERVICE TYPE (select alarm response)

2. ALARM TYPE: you will enter in the specific type of alarm (ie: burglary, trespassing, etc) and a thorough note that will be included in what the guards will see when accepting the job.

3. Under this you will see CHECK LIST. This is where you can make more specified areas for the guards to ensure they search if you saw something happening at several points on the site.

You will also have the ability to request an image from them:

From here click on SEND.
This will send all the information to the guard services closest to your site (like Uber for Guard Services!)

The guard from their end will then accept the job and relay when they have arrived on site.
These two key progressions will show up on your end under the GUARD TAB of your notes section on the right hand side. Once the guard has completed his job on site, his full report will also show up here.

You will not need to refresh the page to receive these updates.

When the Guard had completed their report it will be sent to you in the Guard tab and you can now close your incident!:
