Local Security also provides a mobile application to use with the Video Portal from any android or iOS device. The Camera Glue mobile app is only accessible to the customers and their users i.e. either admin or guard role user, integrators do not have the access to the mobile applications as integrators cannot access the video feed from the camera directly. If an integrator tries to log in into the mobile app then the integrator will be notified with a message that they do not have the access to the application interface.
Customers can download the Camera Glue mobile android app from the play store by searching 'Camera Glue'.
After the installation is complete, the user will see an app with the Camera Glue logo on their phone. Users can sign in using the customer account information using either Guard or Admin role credentials. Log in screen appears as the screenshot below.
After successful login, user will see the Event menu tab showing recent events on the screen. The menu is at the bottom of the Screen and the user can select Events, Cameras, Library and Layout from the menu.
Tapping on the 'Camera' will switch to the list of cameras available to the user. Select the Active tab to view all the active cameras. The customer can also view the offline cameras in the account by tapping on the OFFLINE tab.
Tapping on the desired camera thumbnail will open the camera on the screen. If you keep the auto rotate on for the camera and rotate the camera to landscape mode then the user can see the camera in full screen mode.
Tapping on 'Library' will open all the clips and time-lapse saved for the cameras added to the user account. Tapping on the 3 dots on the top right side of the clip menu allow user to share the clip.
If the user wants to see multiple cameras on the same screen then tap on the 'Layout' and all the layouts which are saved by the user in the video portal for that user are available on the mobile application as well. Tapping on the layout button will open all the layouts saved by the user.
Upon accessing the camera stream of a PTZ-enabled device, an extra PTZ button will appear on the camera toolbar, after you tap on the video stream. Confirm that the video stream is in Live mode, and then simply click the PTZ button to readily access those specific functions.
Instead of the timeline/events, you will now see the PTZ controls in that space. To zoom in and out of the view, you can utilize the magnifying glass icons. Use the directional arrows to pan to your intended area within the camera's view angle. Adjust the slider to set your preferred panning speed—sliding to the far left for the slowest speed and to the far right for the fastest.
By clicking the square icon situated amidst the directional buttons, you can easily return your PTZ camera to its default home position view. Additionally, if you wish to establish a new default position, simply click the 'Set As Home' option.
Selecting the "Dismiss" option will close the PTZ controls and reveal the timeline/event in that area.
Alternatively, you may also utilize the PTZ controls if you prefer to view the camera in portrait mode. A similar set of control functions will appear on the right hand side of the screen.
