Connect the camera to the network and identify its IP address using Vivotek Installation Wizard.
Double click on the camera to open the web interface page your browser.
Make sure that the camera can access the internet. Go to the Network menu and check network settings of the camera.
Automatic IP (DHCP) mode is recommended.
If using Static IP address check “Default router” and “Primary DNS server” settings. Click "Save" button to save your changes.
Change the camera's access password. More and more camera models do not allow remote access unless the password was changed to a more secure one.
Input the new password and click Update to save changes. Use this user credentials when adding the camera in the Admin portal.
Ensure that camera has correct time settings.
On the Configuration tab go to General settings. Select your time zone. Automatic mode is recommended. Make sure the correct NTP server is used. Click Save to save changes.
From the Configuration tab open Applications menu. Click on the Package management option. Click Browse and select the model appropriate Push Module. To download the push module please visit this page: MODEL SPECIFIC PUSH MODULE.
Click Upload to load Push Module into the camera.
When upload will be completed new package will appear in the Package list. Select it and click Start.
Wait for the Push Module to turn on, once status changes to "ON" click on “PushModule” to open the page with registration code, copy this code.
IMPORTANT: If your network has a Firewall, allow all output TCP traffic to port 443.
From the Admin Poral go to Cameras tab and click Add button, select P2P option. Input Registration code obtained from the camera. Type in the desired camera name. Select Custom Credentials.
Select one of the billing options
Local Security will automatically find the camera and create a path to it. For ONVIF compliant cameras you will gain access to camera settings directly from the Local Security admin portal.
If you use one of the Fixed plans then our system will adjust camera settings for you. On the "Pay as you go" plan you will need to specify desired stream quality settings once the camera is added to our system.
